IT Organizations Late to the Party, Can’t Find Their Keys

They left work late. They couldn’t decide what to wear. They couldn’t find their car keys. Many IT organizations are running late for the era of digital business, and it’s a distinct opportunity for IT services providers.

A recent article in InformationWeek discussed an eye-opening new report from Gartner that shows that many IT organizations are simply unprepared. In fact, according to Gartner, nearly 60% of IT professionals say their business is two years away from digital readiness.

It just hasn’t been a priority.

IT pros see the inevitable impacts on their future—cloud, analytics, mobility, security—but getting ahead of it to rethink their organization is a challenge. The struggle is real—trying to manage the day-to-day doesn’t leave much time for the future.

“IT organizations need help with the transition from a trusted source…”

But it does open the door for IT Services Providers, or at least those embracing a modern MSP mentality. IT organizations need help with the transition from a trusted source…and they need it fast! They don’t have resources or time, and there is a significant gap in skills that are needed for digital business.

And if it takes them two years to get there, they risk missing the party all together. Modern MSPs are positioned to help these customers make the transformation.

Step 1: Simplify the migration process with automation.

Step 2: Guide the customers with cloud-based managed services.

While 91% of respondents are certain they’ll be a part of the digital transformation, there is less certainty about how or when.
